Privacy
What we collect, and what we don’t.
Short version: no cookies, no tracking across other sites, nothing sold or shared for advertising. What you send us through the form, we use to answer you.
When you send us a message
The start page asks for your name, your email and a description of what you need. You can also give your company, your phone number, your type of business, its size and when you’d want to start.
We keep what you send in our own system and email it to our own mailbox, so we can reply. We use it to answer you and to talk about your project, and for nothing else. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
Counting visits, without cookies
We count how people use the site so we can make it better: which pages are read, for how long and how far down, which site or search brought them here, the kind of device and browser, the screen size, the language and the time zone set on the device, and whether the form was started or sent.
We do it without cookies and without storing anything on your device. To tell one visit from another, our server makes an anonymous code from your internet address and your browser, mixed with a random value that is replaced and deleted every day. Your internet address itself is never saved, and the code can’t be traced back to you or linked from one day to the next.
This stays on our own server. It isn’t sent to Google, Facebook or any analytics or advertising company, and it’s deleted after 13 months.
What stays in your browser
If you pick light or dark mode, your browser remembers the choice on your device. It is never sent to us.
The sign-in page is for our own staff. Signing in uses one cookie, to keep them signed in. Visitors to the rest of the site never get it.
Who else sees it
We don’t sell it, share it for advertising or give it away. The only other companies involved are the ones that run the pieces the site needs:
- The company that hosts our server, where the site and what you send are stored.
- The company that runs our email, which carries the message about your inquiry, and our replies.
- The storage where our encrypted backups are kept.
How long we keep it
Messages from the form: for as long as we’re talking about your project, and after that as an ordinary business record. Ask and we’ll delete yours.
Visit counts: 13 months, then deleted automatically.
Your choices
You can ask what we have from you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address at the bottom of this page, or through the start page, and we’ll do it.
The site isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from them.
If this page changes, the date below changes with it.
